So I was lovingly woken up by the Brasilian government at 8 this morning. I live on the street called 7 de setembro, which is the day of Brasilian independence. So of course that is where they have the parade and anyone associated with the government was in the parade. Or maybe just eveyone in Salvador, cause it was super long! Sure you got your army guys. But then they also had lifeguards, beekeepers, miners, ect. And of course anything else those people might use. Like BOATS! Oh, and huge pictures of Dilma's face. Im putting up pictures right now on facebook (I think if I have a lot of pictures to put up, imma start doign it on fb and attaching the link. Which should be fine, since my profile is public. Oh, a unit of dogs and then calvary went by. Followed by a unit on bikes? It was quite interesting, and def way different than anything we do in the states on independence day.
PS, sorry the pictures arnt so good. I was too lazy to come down from my apt and take pictures at ground level....
